After living a life filled with love, family and sports, Eddie passed away February 10, 2022, at his home in Olathe, KS.

Eddie was born February 2, 1934, in Kansas City, MO, graduated from Cardinal Glennon High School and attended the University of Missouri. In 1955 he married his best friend and love of his life, Joanie Curran. They were married 61 years, until her passing in 2016. Together they raised four children in Kansas City before moving to Fort Myers, FL and Olathe, KS.

Eddie was a family man. Although working full time, he prioritized volunteering for school and summer youth programs. At Holy Cross Elementary School, he ran a Saturday open gym program and coached boys' basketball. He served on the Church Board of Directors and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Eddie was an avid sports lover. He served as Board Member for KCMO 3&2 Baseball and Coached a team for many years. He was also the first coach for his children teaching them Baseball, Basketball and Football skills. Eddie was happiest cheering for his children, grandchildren & great grandchildren during sporting events, cheerleading competitions, battle of the bands, dance & choir recitals. He demonstrated how to be a gracious winner and how to learn from a loss.

Eddie is survived by four children: Christal, Christopher, Daniel, and David Cone; six grandchildren: Britni Jarvis, Justine Young, Jessica, Jacob, Jacquelin and Samuel Cone; six great-grandchildren: Ella, Mia & Olivia Jarvis, Emma & Easton Young, and Ramona Cone and sister Dona Duff of Surprise, AR.

A week before Eddie passed, he celebrated his 88th birthday with his entire family. Eddie was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
