EDWARD V. KARECKI
Born September 7, 1923 in Yonkers, New York, a resident of Olathe, KS, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2008 surrounded by his family and friends. Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2008, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m., both at St. Pauls Catholic Church, 900 Honeysuckle, Olathe, KS, Interment, Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Olathe, KS.
He is survived by his daughter Mary E. Brown and her husband Terry N. Brown, of Overland Park, two grandsons Blake E. Brown, Olathe, and Austin M. Brown, Lawrence, KS, and his brother, John Karecki, of Middletown, NY, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary M. Karecki, three sister, two brothers, and his parents.
Eddie retired from Claycomo Ford Motor Company after 23 years of service. He was a man of strong faith and gave of himself to his friends and his community. Eddie will always be remembered for his caring, generous, and loving spirit.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembrances in Edward's name to St. Pauls Catholic Church.
