Edmund F. Collins, 80, passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2015. He was born in Fort Dodge, IA in 1935.
As a youngster he excelled in baseball and basketball, earning a college scholarship in basketball. After college he joined the marine corps where he served as a frogman.
He worked at Lee Jeans for 26 years before his retirement. He married the love of his life, Dorothy, on Oct. 6 1956. He enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his family. He was always quick with a laugh and he carried his infectious smile where ever he went. He was loved and will be missed by all of us.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy; his sons Joe (Susie), Mike, Tom (Karen), David (Debbi), and Jim; his 6 grandkids, Katie, Kelsie, Dayna, James, Parker, and Miranda; his great-granddaughter Aubrey; his 5 brothers Bill, Pat, Denny, Mickey, Richard, and sister Mary and many nieces and nephews.
Services are Friday 3/13 at Queen of the Holy Rosary, 7023 W. 71 St., O.P. Ks. Visitation is from 9:30- 10:00 with funeral services at 10:00 am.
