Edith S Trudeau, 86, of Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2015 in Kansas City surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Bronx, NY to Gertrude and Louis Shador on October 2, 1929. Her love of ballet started as a child and after attending the University of Miami led to a career as a June Taylor dancer on The Jackie Gleason show and several Broadway shows.
She moved to Syracuse and started teaching at The Fred Astaire Studio. She then owned and taught at The DeWitt School of Dance using her stage name Miss Shaw for over 35 years touching the lives of hundreds of students.
She was preceded in death by her sister Sylvia Topal.
She is survived by her husband Richard P. Trudeau, daughters Lisa (Carlo) LaMarca of Las Vegas, NV and Lesley (Joey) DeFio of Overland Park, KS, grandson CJ LaMarca and cousin Ann Silverstein.
Edith had the ability to inspire others to live their dreams and believe anything was possible which she passed on to her daughters and grandson.
