Earshel Futrell, 79, of Olathe, KS, passed Jan 26, 2021, at home.
Earshel was born September 14, 1941 in Lutie, Missouri to Edgar and Thelma Futrell. He attended Ava High before joining the United States Air Force where he was a Fire Protection Specialist until his honorable discharge in 1965. He married Maryalice Wagner in 1964 in Salina, KS. Earshel worked as a licensed longterm care administrator for 11 years at Kansas Christian Home in Newton, KS. He retired as an Assistant Manager from Westlake Ace Hardware in Olathe, KS. In retirement, he drove a school bus for First Student in Olathe, KS. He enjoyed woodworking, photography, and traveling to over 350 National Parks.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Macie Dry and Marylen Curtis and brother Harold Futrell.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Maryalice Futrell, of the home and their son, Eric Futrell, daughter-in-law Crystal, and grandson Ethan of Olathe, KS. He is also survived by his sister, Marlene Michel, of Long Lane, MO, and many wonderful nieces, nephews, in-laws, and life-long friends.
