E. Louise Brunton

October 4, 1939 — April 27, 2019

Elizabeth Louise (Atkinson) Brunton, 79, Olathe, KS went to be with the Lord, April 27, 2019, at the Olathe Hospice House.

She was born October 4, 1939, in an old farmhouse near Warrensburg, MO, the daughter of Homer W. and Opal Atkinson.

Louise was saved at a young age and later sanctified in a camp meeting at the old Nazarene campgrounds in Kansas City, MO.

She married Elmer Brunton on December 19, 1959. They recently celebrated 59 years of marriage.

Louise and Elmer pastored Nazarene churches for 44 years; 11 years in Canada, and 33 years in Missouri.

Louise is survived by her husband Elmer; 2 daughters, Sheila Louise (Dave) Thrush, Donna Kay Brunton; one son, Todd Stephen(Pam) Brunton; 4 grandchildren, Joshua, Melissa, Rebekah, and Rachael; one brother, Robert L. (Norma) Atkinson; and several nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 2, at 11:00am at College Church of the Nazarene, 2020 E. Sheridan, Olathe, KS, where the family will receive friends at 10:00am.

Memorials are suggested to the Olathe Hospice House, the His Fellowship Sunday School Class at College Church of the Nazarene, or to the Rev. Elmer J. and E. Louise Brunton Scholarship Fund at Mid-American Nazarene University.
