Dymple F. Moore, 81 of Olathe, KS passed away Thursday Feb. 25, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Center. Funeral Services will be 3PM Sunday Feb 28th at First Christian Church, 200 E. Loula, Olathe, KS. Graveside services will be 11AM Monday at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 3PM Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Church.
Dymple was born April 28, 1928 to Barney and Lanta Mae Henderson in Syracuse, MO. She was a graduate of Smith Cotton High School in Sedalia, MO. After graduating she completed studies at Central Business College in Sedelia, Mo. She spent 8 years serving as a Certified Dental Assistant. She met the love of her life Harry H. Moore in 1953, they were married on February. 19th, 1955. They made their home in Kansas City until moving to Olathe in 1969. Three years later Dymple and Harry moved the business they had operated since the late 1950's, Electronic Service Center to Olathe. They retired and closed the business in 1985. Their son, David passed away on May 12th, 1987 and after losing Harry to a two year battle with cancer on August 24th, 1989 Dymple went to work for the Olathe School District for two years. When the Trumball Childcare facility opened at the First Christian Church in 1992 she became their cook and caregiver to the children. She loved her work in the Daycare and continued there until it closed.
She was an Alpha Zeta Master in the Beta Sigma Phi since 1953. Became a member of the First Christian Church on April 4th, 1976. She was devoted to her church and spent many days and evenings contributing her time. The many duties she performed at the church included being a wedding Coordinator, Sunday School Teacher, participating in the Bazaar Woman's group, Assistant Property Chairperson, she was a member of the Georgie Babb (Betty Clark) Circle and she attended the Crusaders Sunday School Class regulaly. On January 31st, 2010 she was honored as a Deacon Emeritus for her many years of service to the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Moore, one son David Moore, her parents and a sister Marjorie Maybelle Henderson.
She is survived by her children Gerald Moore of Olathe, KS, Laurie Turner(Kenny) of Spring Hill, KS, and Ken Moore (Cari) of Lee's Summit, MO. As well as her grandchildren Brandon Moore, Dana Moore, and Garrett Turner. Step grandchildren Sydney Kirk, Hayden Kirk, Avery Kirk, and Joakim Sorli.
