Dr. George P. Vennart, 88, of Overland Park, KS passed away on September 13, 2014. He was born in Boston, MA, the only son of George and Helen Vennart. A renowned pathologist, Dr. Vennart studied at the University of Rochester. He held teaching positions at UNC and Columbia University before ultimately becoming chairman of the Department of Pathology at the Medical College of Virginia.
George was the loving husband of Mary Joan (Miller) Vennart who preceded him in death. He is survived by his 3 children: Dr. William C. Vennart of Overland Park, KS; Dr. R. Marc Vennart of Las Vegas, NV; and Margeory V. Willams of Murfreesboro, TN; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A private family burial will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, FL. Family requests any donations be made to the National Parkinson Foundation.
