Douglas Vogelsberg, 73, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022, after a brave fight with cancer.

Doug was born on December 27, 1948, in Salina, Kansas. He served in the Army, was stationed in Germany, and went on to have a successful career as a Sr. Lead Civil-Structural Engineering Technician at Black & Veatch where he worked for over 42 years.

He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Vogelsberg, mother, Leona Vogelsberg, and brother, Mike Vogelsberg.

Doug is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Connie Vogelsberg, daughter, Cortnie Vogelsberg (Patrick Dukes), son, Daniel Vogelsberg, grandchildren, Maddie and Eli Vogelsberg, siblings Kathy Swanson (Mark), Don Vogelsberg (Karen), Dave Vogelsberg (Lori), Janet Adrian (Bob), (Debi) Vogelsberg, and many loving sister and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, a loving aunt and numerous extended family members, friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at the Thompson Barn in Lenexa, Kansas, on Sunday, July 31, 2022. A Military Honor Guard Ceremony will begin at 4:30pm. A Celebration of Life Service will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation to support Pancreatic Cancer Research.
