Douglas W. Healy, 70, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024. Services will be April 22 at Church of the Ascension in Overland Park at 10am. Visitation is from 9-10am before mass.
Doug was born January 2,1954 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Jack and Anne Healy. He finished his education at the University of Missouri with a degree in chemical engineering. He worked for Owens Corning his entire career before retiring at the age of 55. He was married to his wife, Patty, for 45 years. He loved to run and participated in several marathons. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack, and his brother, Mike.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patty, of the home. He had 2 children: Matthew Healy and wife Jena, and Shannon McKinzie and husband David, 4 grandchildren: Dylan and Mason McKinzie, William and Madelyn Healy. He also leaves behind his mother, Anne Healy, brother Joel and wife Nancy, and sister, Mary Ann and husband, John Lauth.
