DORTHY L. SHARON EVERHART
Age 82, passed away September 20, 2006 in Olathe, KS. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 23 at 9:00 a.m. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd., Olathe, KS, followed by a Graveside Service at 10:00 a.m. at Oaklawn Memorial Garden, Olathe. Memorials are suggested to Villa St. Francis, 16600 W. 126th Street, Olathe, KS 66062.
Dorothy was born November 5, 1923 in Edgerton, KS to Samuel and Stella Sharon, and graduated from Gardner High School. She spent many years with Waid's Restaurant in Overland Park, working as a waitress. Dorthy enjoyed pursuing her family genealogy, craft and needlework, but was a caregiver above all.
She is survived by her sisters; Irene Vanderhoven, AZ, Juanita Arnette, MO, Minnie Wiggin, KS, and her brother, Jesse Sharon, KS, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, in 1983, and her brothers Eugene, Lawrence, and Ralph Sharon, and her sister Bessie Creel.
