DOROTHY MAE WILSON
Dorothy Mae Wilson returned home to her Heavenly Father on June 12, 2010 at the Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, KS. She was born April 4, 1925 in Geneseo, Illinois, the daughter of Floyd and Mae Pobanz Drehman. She spent her childhood and school years in Geneseo, graduating from Geneseo High School. On June 24, 1944, Dorothy and McKenzie J. Wilson, Jr., were united in marriage in Decatur, IL. She and Jim farmed around Geneseo, Alpha and Andover for many years. In 1968, they moved to Provo, Utah, where she worked for twenty years at Signetics Corp. She spent her life in the service of others as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, holding positions of leadership in both the Relief Society and Primary as well as serving twice as stake missionary. In 2001, they retired to Spring Hill, KS. Dorothy was the mother of six children, five of whom survive her; Diane (Cleve) Kester and Nancy Marshall of Spring Hill, David (Deon) Wilson of Evanston, WY, Mark (LeAnn) Wilson of Lehi, UT, and Kathleen (Roy) Kay of Boise, ID. She is also survived by her husband of Spring Hill, a brother, Robert of Moline, IL, fourteen grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Her parents, one brother, Darrell, and one daughter, Mary Ann (Dennis) Burbridge, precede her in death.
