Dorothy "Irish" Lubberts of Olathe, KS passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015. She was born in Fort Worth, TX to Robert and Emalyn Kyle in 1917. She grew up in Graham, Mo, graduated college at Northwestern University and taught school in Hamilton, MO. She spent a brief time at the Pasedena Playhouse acting in several plays; and joined the first WAVES division of the US Navy in 1942; where she was attached to the Naval intelligence and Judge Advocates Office as a decoding specialist. She met Albert "Ace" Lubberts in Hawaii and they were married in 1945. She and Al made their home in Olathe, KS where Irish taught school at Olathe High School (Olathe North). She is survived by her sister, Dixie Dalton Kaiser from Notre Dame, IL, 3 children; Jeffry K. Lubberts of Overland Park, Albert "Skip" C. Lubberts of Olathe, and Monique Morgan of New York; her 4 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Salvation Army.
