Dorothy Krusenklaus, 86, passed away on September 16, 2016 at Nottingham Health and Rehabilitation, Olathe, Kansas.
Dorothy was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1930. She was a graduate of Presentation High School and Bellarmine University where she earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
Dorothy was married to her beloved husband for 59 years, John "Jack" Krusenklaus, who preceded her in death in 2013. Through their married years, they moved many times from Kentucky throughout Indiana to Ohio to finally settle in Kansas. Dorothy is survived by her 6 loving children. Sons, Dave (Catie) Lexington, KY, Richard (Marcia) Fairfield, Ohio, Doug (Missy) Fairfield, Ohio, Tom (Jackie) Olathe, KS. Daughters, Ann (Bill) Byrd, Overland Park, KS, Lynn (Clint) Barger, Larned, KS. 16 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. Preceding Dorothy in death were her parents, Thomas and Mary Barry; brother Thomas Barry; sister Ann Talbott; and a grandson Jack Barger. Dorothy was strong in her Catholic faith, enjoyed being with her family and loved playing card games.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Overland Park. Visitation at 9:00a.m. Funeral mass at 10:00a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery Lenexa, Kansas.
