DOROTHY DALLAS ALLENBRAND
Age 96, passed away February 8, 2009 in Olathe, Kansas. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 12 at 10:00 a.m Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd., Olathe, KS with interment to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials are suggested to Good Samaritan Society of Olathe, 20705 W. 151st, Olathe, KS 66061, for the benefit of Good Samaritan Towers.
Dorothy was born January 8, 1913 in Gentry Co., MO, to Elmer and Rosa Dell Pierce. She graduated from Gentry County High School and married Smith O. Allenbrand on November 27, 1930. She was a long-time member of Ridgeview Baptist Church in Olathe. She devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren, and was a woman of great faith.
She is survived by her children Gary (Cheryl) Allenbrand, Smithy (Lynda) Allenbrand, Donny (Pamela) Allenbrand, Dick (Kathy) Allenbrand, and Cheryl (Gary) Hayes, and daughter in law Ann Allenbrand, seventeen grand-children, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Smith, her son Billy Allenbrand, her brothers Garland Pierce and Oren Pierce, and her sister Verlee Pierce.
