Doris Jean (Shipps) Dougan, 79, Spring Hill, Kansas, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011. The family suggests contributions to Spring Hill Methodist Church, Hospice of Olathe Medical Center, or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Doris was born August 7, 1931 in Modena, Missouri. She graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1949. She married Ronald D. Dougan on September 10, 1949 and moved to Olathe, Kansas, then to Spring Hill, Kansas in 1972. She began her career at the Johnson County Courthouse in 1949, where she retired as Chief Deputy Clerk of the District Court in 1990.
She was a member of the Spring Hill American Legion Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by a brothers; Fenton "Sandy" Sandlin and Bobby Shipps.
She is survived by her husband Ronald D. Dougan, a daughter; Sheila A. (Dougan) Sheridan, brothers; Delbert Shipps and Billy Shipps, sister; Delia (Shipps) Crawford.
