Doris Elaine Deming, 89, of Bonner Springs, passed away on August 14, 2016 in Overland Park. She was born on November 1, 1926 to Joseph and Bertha (Potts) Mitchell in Lyons, KS.
Doris is survived by her children Sharon (Frank) Benedick, Dianna Brown-Stroessner, and Paul T. Deming; grandchildren Jackie (Mathew) Sumter, Cynthia Alvarez, Aaron Brown, Kimberley Nader, Michelle Deming, and Clarrisa Deming; great grandchildren Kristin Sumter, Justin Sumter, Alexia Sumter, Xitlally Alvarez, Savannah Alvarez, and Alexander Brown as well as many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul F. Deming and her grandson Jeffrey B. Brown
The family will receive guests for a visitation from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday, August 19, 2016, at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 20, at Glenwood Cemetery in Basehor, KS.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's & Dementia Association, Heart of America Chapter, 3846 W. 75th Street, Prairie Village, KS 66208.
