Donna Hill, born September 12, 1936, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024, after a short illness. A visitation followed by funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Holy Cross Church, 8311 W. 93rd Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66212. Visitation will last from 10am to 11am. Donna married William A. Hill, Jr. in 1952. They had 2 children, Thomas and Stacy. Donna worked for the Hereford Association for many years, and later at Sears Roebuck while raising their children. She became a licensed Realtor in 1980, and worked with Coldwell Banker, then Reece & Nichols for almost 30 years. She loved the real estate business and made many life-long friends along the way. She was also a volunteer for the American Royal Horse Shows for many years. Donna was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church for over 50 years.

Family was so important to Donna. She and Bill enjoyed attending Family Dinner almost every Sunday afternoon at Grandma Hill’s until her passing in 1977. They were very close to her sister Dee, as well as Bill’s brothers and sisters. Many of them traveled together, spent holidays together, enjoyed time together at the Lake of the Ozarks, New Year's Eve in Las Vegas, family Poker Parties, and loved to attend Chiefs and Royals games.

Donna was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering for the Chiefs, Royals, and KU Basketball. She also enjoyed entertaining, gardening and travel, with a highlight being a trip to Italy in 1999. Donna was also an excellent Bridge player and played with two groups of ladies who were life-long friends. These friendships brought her so much joy.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Rose Stone, and sisters Jean Stone and Dolores Stewart. Her son Thomas passed away in 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She leaves behind her daughter Stacy Hill Cox (Dr. Michael A. Cox), grandchildren Kimberly Hill Mosher (Philip), Robert W. Maher and Max France, plus bonus grandchildren Amy Cox Musgrave (Ryan) and Michael A. Cox II. She has 3 wonderful great grandchildren, Declan and Ivy Mosher, and Lindy Musgrave. She also leaves behind a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Donna was fortunate enough to meet Lawrence Hall in 2020. Both widowed for several years, they enjoyed traveling, attending Shrine Temple dances and events, volunteering, dining out, and cheering for the Chiefs and Royals. They recently celebrated 4 amazing years together, and their fondness and caring for each other was beautiful to witness. Larry brought so much joy to her life and will forever be a part of our family.
