Donia (Knapp) Murray passed away Sunday, February 28, 2014 in Olathe, Kansas, at the age of 84. She was surrounded by family and friends when she passed.
She leaves behind a family who loved her and a mountain of yarn and crochet needles. If you knew her, she probably crocheted you, your kids and grandkids enough afghans and scarves for every day of the week.
She is survived by her daughters: Regina Wilson, Jeanette (Robert) Frantz; grandkids: Dr. Melanie Brown (Steve Dodge), Nicole (Robert) Hogensen, Michelle (Dan) Gordon, Robert (Christina) Frantz, Kristen Frantz; great-grandson R.J. Hogensen; her sister Nancy (Knapp) Stamm.
She is preceded in death by her husband James Lincoln Murray, daughter Mikelann Murray-Kerns.
Donia was a legal secretary in downtown Ravenna for more than 40 years. She could finish writing an estate before the typewriter ink dried. She was a career woman who loved to travel, shop, and ohh yes, crochet.
Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Villa St Francis, 1600 W 126th St, Olathe, KS 66062.
