Donald Graham Wiley, age 85, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021. He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Patricia Wiley.
Don was born October 23, 1935 in Indiana, Pennsylvania and was the 7th child of Sevia and Mildred Wiley. After graduation, he enlisted in the Air Force where he served three years in England and he acquired skills that led to a job as a radar technician for the FAA at MCI International Airport, where he worked for 30 years.
Don and Pat lived in Kansas City, Kansas where they raised four children, Geri Beth Jimenez, Debbie Ann Fosha, Don Wiley, Jr., and Robin Denise Schmalz, ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
After 30 years of service he retired from the FAA. Don and Pat eventually moved to Olathe, Kansas where they lived for 19 years, and attended Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Don and Pat spent many hours bowling, watching their kids play sports, and watching their grandchildren do the things they loved. Family time was everything, and it was a very loving family. He will be missed terribly.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the Abdallah Shrine Children's Burn Unit, or to Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
