Donald Summers

Donald "Don" K. Summers was born Feb. 9, 1947 in Kansas City, MO to Joe and Nona Summers. He graduated from Couch High School in 1965. He was drafted into Vietnam in 1965 and served until 1968. He married the love of his life on August 2, 1969. He worked at Sears for 30 years, followed by Price Chopper for 18 years. He spent the last 11 years battling cancer.

Don was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Shirley Mae Summers; daughters Tammy Gomory (Zsolt) and Stacie Shipps (Shawn); grandsons Brendan, Mason and Seth Eli Shipps; granddaughters Lanah Shipps, Zoe, Viktoria, and Julianna Gomory; brothers Tom, Larry, David, and Eddie Summers; sisters Sandy Kelsey, Beth Isemberg, and Karin Unruh.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Joe and Nona; and siblings Dickey, Judith, Randy, and Bruce Summers.
