Donald F. Schrick

November 29, 1943 — June 4, 2022

Donald F. Schrick, "Don", age 78, of Olathe, Kansas, entered eternal life on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Don was born November 29, 1943 and grew up outside of Nortonville, Kansas on his family's farm. He was the fourth of six children. Don received a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics and, after serving in Vietnam, a Bachelor's in Accounting, both degrees from Kansas State University. Don was Retired Military and earned a Purple Heart while serving his country. He married Peggy in 1970, and they were married for 40 years, having 5 children who brought them much joy. He was a long time self-employed CPA. They raised a sports loving family, traveling throughout the United States for soccer tournaments.

Everyone that knew Don would tell you he was one of the kindest souls that they ever met. After Don was widowed, he met Elaine and they were happily married for 9 years. They lived in Olathe with their two dogs and loved spending time with their children and grandchildren. Don was an amazing example of a loving servant of God, and enjoyed his family, his faith, and volunteering at various charities, including the Catholic Charities Food Pantry in Olathe. Don will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Nina, his first wife, Peggy, his son-in-law, Joe Miro, and Elaine's son, Kurtis.
