Donald Leroy Lang, 75, Olathe, KS, passed away at his home
Tuesday, June 8, 2010. In lieu of flowers, the family requests
contributions to St. Jude's Hospital, First Baptist Church and/or
Hospice of Olathe Medical Center.
Don was born September 19, 1934 in Great Falls, Montana to Earl
and Judith Lang. He graduated from the College of Great Falls with
his B.S. degree in 1958. He married Diane Elizabeth Giles in 1961.
He received his Master's degree in 1962 at the University of South
Carolina. He and his family then moved to Olathe where he was
employed by the Unified School District #233. He was a
Mathematics, Calculus, and Computer Science teacher at Olathe
High School 33 years before retiring in 1995.
Don was a member of First Baptist Church, Clockwinders Optimist
Club, Jaycees, Kansas O.N.E.A, was a member and past board
member of K.N.E.A, and a life member and Past President of NEA in
Olathe. Don enjoyed passing his time golfing, bowling, and
gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister; Earlene
Zarling.
Don is survived by his wife Diane, sons; Keith (Mary) Lang of Mesa,
Arizona and David Lang of Mokena, Illinois, grandchildren; Amee
(Tony) Pacheco, Andrew and Max Pacheco, Joshua Bagshaw, and
their mother Jackie Lang.
