DONALD LANSER
Age 75, of Olathe, Kansas, died of a heart attack, Tuesday, July 25 at Deep Creek, Maryland while visiting his daughter and her family.
Don was a native of Appleton, WI. After serving in the US Navy during the Korean War, Don attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering. In his retirement from the automotive market industry, Don became very active in Sen Com where he maintains the computers and enjoyed teaching computer programs to seniors. He had been a director for four years. Don was aslo a member of the 1-4th Knights of Columbus at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
Throughout the years, Don enjoyed boating, fishing and swimming with his family and friends at the family cottage on Loon Lake. In his spare time, Don enjoyed woodworking and created very attractive furniture.
Surviving are his wife, Pat, and four children; Gary Lanser, Colorado Springs, CO, Linda (John) Kostic, Odenton, MD, Diane (Bob) Britton, Spokane, WA, Theresa (Butch) Anderson, Kansas City, KS, eight grandchildren; Andrew Kostic and his fiance' Julie, Chris Kostic, Samantha, Jessica, and Nicholas Lanser, Michelle (Matt) Jordan, Nicole and Scott Howell, and one great-grandchild, Bethany Jordan.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 27 from 6:30 -8:30 p.m at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd, Olathe, KS followed by a funeral mass on Saturday, July 28 at 10:00 a.m at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 16000 W. 143rd St., Olathe, KS, The family suggests memorials to Catholic Charities.
