DONALD "DON" EINAR JOHNSON
Age 66, went home to be with the Lord on August 24, 2006 in Eudora, KS. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 27 at 2:00 p.m. at College Church of the Nazarene, 2020 E. Sheridan, Olathe, KS. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the College Church of the Nazarene.
Don was born on April 28, 1940 in Red Oak, IA to Einar and Gunhild Johnson. He married Karen Magneson on September 24, 1961, and to this union three children were born.
Don worked in both the sales and service of the farm equipment industry for over 39 years, retiring from CLAAS of America in April of 2006. As members of the College Church of the Nazarene, Don was active as an usher, and also in the Senior Adult Ministries. He was an avid supporter of the Mid-America Nazarene University Athletics programs, and his voice in the stands will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Karen Johnson of Bolivar, MO, his children Sheila Dawn (Robert) Mountain, of Newbury, OH, Brent (Stacie) Johnson of Bolivar, MO, and Todd (Sheila) Johnson of Lebanon, MO, his grandchildren Grant and Brock Mountain, Laci, Jason and Jessica Mountain, Trevor and Drake Johnson, Chase Williams, Blake and Bryce Johnson and Amber Leahy. Don is also survived by Brian Lionberg, whom Don and Karen regard as their son, his sister Janice Crouse of Emerson, IA, and his twin-brother, Darold (Donna) Johnson, of Pocatello, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson, Stephan Don Johnson, in 1997.
