Donald Eugene Arndt, 68, of Lenexa, (formerly of Topeka, KS) passed away on August 15, 2020 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
He was born on May 20, 1952 to William and Leily (Deusch) Arndt at Fort Riley, KS. He graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1970, where he was a member of the varsity football team.

Donald was artistic and creative. He loved working with his hands and always had a project or idea in mind. He enjoyed painting, woodworking, and graphic design. Donald was most at home when he was outdoors. He loved camping, cookouts, waterskiing and fishing. He was an avid fly-fisherman and had dreamed of returning to the trout stream following a long-awaited hip replacement. He loved watching a good sunset and his favorite color was the purplish-pink tones found in the sky right before the sun goes down, which he called "sky-blue pink".
Donald is survived by his loving son, Kyle Arndt (Cindy) and daughter Shaina Clark (Chris), grandchildren Kye & William Arndt; Liam, Landry, Eleanor & Owen Clark, sister Nila Maxwell (Tyler).
