Dolores Cherkun

Dolores R. Cherkun, 85, of Olathe, KS. Passed away Tuesday November 3, 2009 at Villa St. Francis. Mass of Ressurection was held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church Olathe, KS. Cremation is planned.
Dolores was born in January 1924 in Big Beaver, MI to Charles and Anna Wasielewski. She graduated from Romeo High School in Romeo, MI before going on to be a charter member of the first graduating class of Oakland University in Rochester, MI. Dolores went on to get her Masters from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She was a Reading Clinician for the Romeo Community Schools. Upon retirement she moved to Spring Hill, KS. in 1993 to be closer to family. Dolores was an avid seamstress and a member of the American Sewing Guild of Kansas and also the Kansas Association for Family and Community Education.
She is survived by her brother Earl Watson of Bloomfield Hills, MI. Niece Christine Nattrass of Spring Hill, KS, and Cassandra Rogers of Louisburg, KS and Nephew Charles Ulanski of Paola, KS and many grand nephews and nieces.
