Dixie L. Mohler, 93, of Olathe, passed away on February 14, 2016 at Aberdeen Village. She was born on May 15, 1922 to Richard and Ardath (Whitmore) Williams at Pittsburg, KS. Dixie's family moved to Coffeyville, KS when she was a small child, where she attended Coffeyville schools graduating from Field Kindley High School in 1939.
Dixie attended Bartlesville Business College, and was employed as a bookkeeper for several private businesses throughout career. On November 5, 1939 she married Charles Lloyd Mohler at Southwest City, MO.
She was a long-time member of the First Methodist Church in Coffeyville, KS.
Dixie is survived by her daughter, Carol Lynn Webb and her husband James, her son Charles Lance Mohler and his wife, Ju-al, five grandchildren; Kathryn R. Moser (Scott), Kristin M. Wertz (Todd), Kori M. Tuney ( Brian), Brian A. Mohler (Sarah), Steven A. Mohler (Fatima), ten great-grandchildren; Lacey E. Thompson (Jeremy), Ryan S. Moser, Kaitlin M. Wertz Hartman (Josh), Madison R. Wertz Sanders (Micah), Regan M. Wertz, Corbin J. Wertz, Morgan M. Turney, Mason A. Turney, Josh E. Mohler and Olivia Mohler, and two great-great-grandchildren Noah J. Thompson and Pierce D. Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Cass Williams, her mother, Ardath Virgie Williams, her husband, Charles Lloyd Mohler, sisters Lucille Backer and Phyllis Burton, and brother Glen Wisner.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016, at 11:00 am at the Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville, KS.
