Diane Willoughby

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our mother, Diane G. Willoughby, 81, of Overland Park, KS. She passed away on February 14, 2024, at Olathe Medical Center, surrounded by family.

Diane was born on December 11, 1942 to Frank and Anne Larizza in Petersburg, Virginia.

Diane worked as cashier for Pruett's Market for many years before changing over to teller for First Tennessee Bank in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Diane was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.

Diane is survived by her loving Daughters, Julie Willoughby (Drema Neal), Gina Mitchell (Antoine Simmons) her grandchildren, Zach Willoughby-Neal, Zoe Willoughby-Neal, Kinsey Willoughby-Neal, Kylie Willoughby-Neal, and Hayden Poe. Diane is also survived by her brother Donnie Larizza.

She was preceded in death by her father Frank A. Larizza, Mother Anne (DeMarco) Larizza, and brother James Larizza.

Visitation/Reception will be held Monday February 19, 2024, from 1-3 pm at Penwell-Gabel Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd. Olathe, Kansas 66062. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Ohio.

Diane was a loving, thoughtful mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her quick-witted sense of humor will be greatly missed. We will carry her love in our hearts forever.
