Diane M Jones

Diane M. Jones, of Olathe, Kansas passed away December 21, 2016 at Olathe Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Penwell- Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 Black Bob Road, Olathe Kansas. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m.

Diane was born on May 7, 1952 to Cain and Mabel Hurd. She accepted Christ in her life at an early age and was baptized by her grandfather, Rev. T.A. White in Brookfield, Missouri. She attended elementary school in Brookfield and completed high school in Kansas City. She graduated from Kansas City Vocational School as a Licensed Practical Nurse and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Mid America Nazarene University. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society. Diane's nursing career included working at the Olathe Public School System, Missouri Department of Corrections and Truman Medical Center. She was always an advocate for anyone with mental or developmental disabilities or the homeless. She married Ronald L. Jones and had two sons.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandparents, and aunt.

She is survived by her sons Spencer L. Jones and Ronnie C. Jones, sisters Marie Mitchell and Anna White, niece Nancy Faber, and nephews Herbert L. Mitchell and Ronald Mitchell, and extended family and friends.
