Diana R. Nelson

Diana Ruth Nelson, 65, of Overland Park, KS, passed away on July 9, 2024. She was born in Gardner, KS on August 19, 1958, to Dick and Pauline (Dana) Perdue.

The family will receive guests for a visitation from 9:00-10:00am on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Community Bible Church, 1304 N. Parker St., Olathe, KS 66061, the funeral service will follow at 10:00am. Burial will be at 10:00am on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Olathe Memorial Cemetery, 730 N. Chestnut St., Olathe, KS 66061.

In lieu of flowers, please send any contributions payable to Community Bible Church. In the memo line, please indicate “Diana Nelson Memorial.” These funds will be distributed to several missionaries and local mission organizations since Diana was always determined to help those in need. Checks may be deposited in one of the offering boxes located at the entrance to the auditorium at the church or sent by mail.

Diana worked 24 years for the Olathe School District under many job titles, the last was as Mail Room Support, she retired on January 31, 2021. Diana established many relationships with her coworkers, by whom she is greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pauline Dana and Dick Perdue, and sister, Janet Chriestenson.

She is survived by her husband, Scott, children, Sarah, Paul, and Jason, siblings, Vicky (Gary), Julie (Dan), Don, and Dean (Bev), grandchildren, Briana, Aiva, Rhys, Evynne, Brayden and Finley, great-grandchildren, Diana Rose and Aurora Eloise, as well as many nieces and nephews.
