He was an Eagle Scout, a member of; Wyandotte Masonic Lodge #3, Abdallah Shriners where he served many years as Rodeo Chairman, and a member of the Royal Order of Jesters.
He leaves his wife, Brenda K. Schurr; son, Jay Ramsey (Katie); parents, Dean & Sharon Schurr; brothers, Kerry and Kevin Schurr; grandchildren, Blake and Clara Ramsey; nephews, Andrew and Corey Schurr.
