Dennis L. Martens,56, of Leawood,Ks. Passed away on Nov.30, 2010. He was born and raised in Olathe,Ks.

Dennis was a loving husband, caring father, and adoring grandfather.

He was preceeded in death by his father, George L. Martens, brother, William Eugene, and mother-in-law Carolyn Ramsay Olson. He is survived by his wife Carla, son Michael (Lynn Niere), daughter Nicole and granddaughter Marlie.
He also leaves his mother Martha Martens, brothers George, Steve (Melany), David (Liz), Phillip and sisters Sis (Larry)Schaub and Janelle Floyd. He also leaves father-in-law Ernest Dippel (Violette), step father-in-law George Olson, brother-in-laws Mike (Marion)Dippel and Jim Dippel, goddaughter Carrie Hyer and many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.

Dennis grew up in the construction business, owning and operating Martens Flatwork, operating Quicksilver Ready Mix.
Dennis had a passion for motorcycles. He loved getting together with his friends and riding. He also loved to fish and enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid Nascar fan.
He was always very much involved in Michael and Nicole's sports.
We will miss his reliability, wit, dry humor and sarcasm.
