Denice Darlene Bradfield (Waitzmann) 57, of Gardner, KS entered into rest and into the presence of her Heavenly Father on Thursday March 3, 2016.
Denice was born on January 26th, 1959 in Kansas City, MO to Ernest and Judith Waitzmann. She graduated from Desoto High School in 1977. Denice married Mark Bradfield on December 5th, 1992 at Blue Valley Baptist Church in Stanley, KS. Denice was a collector of many things, including antique glassware, German smoker incense burners, cookie cutters, and many many cookbooks. She loved cooking for her family and friends and doing art projects with her grandchildren. She was her happiest when she was surrounded by her family. Denice worked as an inspector at Honeywell FMT formerly known as Bendix or Allied Signal for 35 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend! She touched many lives during her life and through her illness. She was one of the bravest and strongest people that you would ever meet. She always worried about others more than herself. She loved with her whole heart. She taught us all how to handle life's struggles by keeping our focus on God. Her faith in Jesus Christ her Savior, kept her strong through her very long illness.
Denice was preceded in death by her father Ernest Waitzmann.
She is survived by her husband Mark Bradfield of the home, Dustin Sawyer and wife Lynda of Olathe, KS, daughter Rachelle Moore and husband Mitchell of Edgerton, KS, stepson Derek Bradfield and fiancée Kellie of Pleasant Hill, MO, grandchildren Kathlynn, Valerie, Victoria, and Camden, mother Judith Waitzmann of Olathe, KS, siblings Deborah Gardner of Olathe, KS, Michael Waitzmann of Martin City, MO, Steve Waitzmann of Gardner, KS, and Diane Swanson and husband Mike of Olathe, KS. Also numerous nephews,nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
We would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Jeffrey Wald, Dr. Joseph McGuirk, Dr. Jonathan Freeman, Dr. Martin Emert, The whole staff at the University of Kansas Cancer Center, and numerous other doctors and nurses. Thank you also to Catholic Charities Hospice and Danielle with CNS nursing staff.
