Delores Jean Hammer

Delores Jean "Dee Dee" Hammer. Cremation. Born Dec. 12, 1930 in Nodaway County, IA. She met and later married Bill Hammer on April 22, 1950, a union that lasted 66 years.
In 1953 they moved to Kansas City, KS and in 1957 to Overland Park, KS, where she passed away Aug. 14, 2016. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for nearly 60 years.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; 2 sons Larry (Linda) & Gary Hammer; sister Pauline McAllister of Shawnee, KS; brother Paul Cork (Hazel) of Columbia, MO; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016 at 2 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 8300 W. 79th Street, Overland Park, KS. Immediately after services will be a reception at the Matt Ross Community Center at 8101 Marty Street, Overland Park, KS.
The family wishes to thank Kansas City Hospice for the TLC shown to her and her family.
