DELMAR LEE "DALE" TAYLOR



Memorial services for Delmar Lee "Dale" Taylor will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday Jan. 7, 2016 at the First Southern Baptist Church in Lenapah, Oklahoma.


Dale died Monday, Dec. 28, 2015 in his home in Overland Park, Kansas. He was 74.


He was born in Turley, Oklahoma on July 18, 1941 to Pete Tillman Taylor and Alice Jenny Taylor.


Dale spent the last 20 years in Nowata county, enjoying fishing and the country living. He was the owner of the Whistle Stop store and oversaw the operation for several years where he met many new friends.


He is survived by his wife, Pat of the home, two daughters, Carla Taylor of Overland Park, KS and Kimberly Boles of South Coffeyvile,OK, five grandchildren, Ethan Davis of Olathe, KS, Brent Perry and Marie DeLeon of Overland Park, KS, Alyssa Storms and Denzel Taylor of Lenepah, OK, and 8 great-grandchildren, Braxton and Lily Davenport, Noah Perry, Addilyn and Jaiden Taylor, EmmaLynn Davis, Brayden Reid and Miguel DeLeon. He is also survived by a sister, Donna Steele of Tulsa, OK.


Dale is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Don Taylor and a sister Juanita Pepper.
