Delbert Rowland Robinson, 74 transitioned from his earthly life on Sunday, October 24, 2021, in Kansas City, Missouri. Delbert was born on February 19, 1947, to Albert H. and Florence Robinson in Olathe, Kansas, where he also attended school.
Shortly after completing high school, Delbert served in the United States Army. Upon his return from the Army, he united with the love of his life Kay, and from that relationship they had a beautiful daughter named Romonda. Also, during that time, he became a writer, artist, a photographer, and even a well-known disc jockey at 98.1 KUDL. Throughout his lifetime, Delbert had made many friendships, as he never knew a stranger. He had a smile that would brighten a room and warm any heart.
He was preceded in death by both parents (Albert H. & Florence Robinson), sisters Delores Robinson, Billie Graham, Shirley Bell, and his brother Thomas Bates.
Delbert is survived by his daughter Romonda Robinson Hall (Robert), Overland Park, KS, Kay Dydell (mother of the daughter), Olathe, KS, grandchildren Bradley Newman, Jr. and Jairus Hall, four brothers Prentis Bates (Evelyn), Olathe, KS; Albert H. Robinson, Jr. (Nette), Olathe, KS; Dale Robinson (Lana), Olathe, KS; Gregory Robinson, Kansas City, MO; Kae Emery (friend), Kansas City, MO; loving nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
