Debra Schloesslin

Debra R. Schloesslin, age 46, of Lenexa, KS, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family.

Debra R. Hade was born on November 22, 1966 to Harlan and Wanda Hade. She was baptized in 1966 and confirmed in 1982 at Zion Lutheran Church in Gowrie, IA. She graduated from Prairie Community High School in 1985 and Iowa State University in 1989 with a degree in finance. She married Edward Schloesslin in 1996 in Schaumburg, IL and they were blessed with the birth of their son, Grant, in 1997.

Deb began her financial services career in Chicago and her career continued with family moves to Atlanta and Seattle. She enjoyed gardening, decorating, spending time with family, attending her son's school and sports activities, and her bible study group. Deb was always willing to lend a helping hand and her kind and giving spirit will be greatly missed.

Debra was preceded in death by her father, Harlan Hade, in 1995.

She is survived by her husband, Edward, and her son, Grant. Also left to cherish her memory are her mother, Wanda Hade(Gary); sister, Jeanette Courter(Mark); brother, Steve Hade(Stephanie); sister, Brenda Hade(Sandy); nieces and nephews, Joel(Karla), Matt, Lea, and Lauren; father-in-law, Milton Schloesslin; mother-in-law, Helen Dugan; brothers-in-law, Mark Schloesslin(Jean) and Bill Schloesslin; sisters-in-law, Cindy Singer(Chuck) and Karen Kosol(Mike); nieces and nephews, Christie(Travis), Kevin, and Eric; as well as other family, friends, and her beloved canine companions, Emma and Sophie.

The family would like to thank Dr. Sarah Taylor, Dr. Eldwin Dunn and Kansas City Hospice for their compassionate care.
