DeAnn Glover, 77, passed away at her home in Gardner, KS on Monday, March 29, 2021. She was born and raised in Nebraska before moving to Buffalo Grove, Illinois where she spent most of her adult life.
DeAnn was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend and someone who was always happy to help where needed and liked to be involved in her community. DeAnn was an active member of the Buffalo Grove Days Committee and served on it for over thirty years. She served as a Village Trustee for sixteen years. DeAnn was passionate about the community in which she lived and was proud to watch it grow and develop working alongside many people who became good friends. DeAnn was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church and served on various church committees. She was well respected as a Real Estate Broker with Re/Max Experts and enjoyed helping her fellow agents. She was a member of Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove and was proud to be involved in helping those less fortunate than herself. She loved to travel and was able to see many different parts of the world and visited all seven continents. She moved to Gardner, KS several years ago where she enjoyed retirement and spending time with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ervin and Joyce Stephens, her brother Lee, and son Michael. She is survived by her daughter Kimberley (Glover) Scott and son-in-law Christopher Scott of Chicago, IL; son Mark and daughter-in-law Christine Glover of Olathe, KS; grandchildren Matthew Scott of Chicago, IL, and Michael and McKenzie Glover of Olathe, KS; brothers, Dale Stephens of Missouri Valley, IA and Dennis and Diane Stephens of Hereford, TX; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe, KS on Thursday, April 8 at 4:00 pm with visitation following from 5:00-7:00 pm. A burial ceremony will be held in Kearney, Nebraska on Saturday, April 10 at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in DeAnn's name to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
