David Paul Wilson

David Paul Wilson, 80, of Olathe, passed away on March 19, 2018 at Olathe Hospice House.

He was born on February 21, 1938 to George A. and Carol O. (Glesius) Wilson at Kansas City, KS.

David worked most recently as a Radio Broadcaster for KBEA/Kansas City, KFEZ/Kansas City and KOFO/Ottawa, KS, and retired in 2000.

On November 29, 1958, he married Carolyn Ruth Klausen. After some years in the Los Angeles and Philadelphia areas. David and Carolyn moved back home to the Kansas City area and settled in Olathe, Kansas.

In his spare time, he was an avid Royals and Chiefs fan, plus he loved spending time with his family and travelling when he could.

David is survived by his children, Christi Teegarden and husband Charlie, Mark Wilson with his wife Regina, Jeff Wilson with wife Shelly, and Eric Wilson with wife Gina, along with grandchildren: Valerie with spouse Lupe, Ian with fiancé Brianna, Chris and fiancé Jaclyn, Jessie, Taylor, Alex, Parker, Stephanie and three great grandchildren, David, Elysia and Huxton.

He was preceded in death by his father, George A. Wilson, mother, Carol O. Wilson, brothers Jerry, Charlie, and George, Jr., sister Rosemary and his wife, Carolyn R. Wilson.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 29, 2018, from 6:00 8:00pm at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe, Kansas.

The family suggests contributions to Olathe Hospice House, 15310 S. Marion Street, Olathe, KS 66061.
