David Wehmeier

David Russell Wehmeier, 51, of Overland Park, KS, went to heaven on February 22nd 2013, at 5PM following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
David was born to Melvin and Frances Thorne Wehmeier on June 13, 1961. He graduated from Antioch High School in Nashville, TN in 1979 and subsequently received a BA in Computer Sciences from Emporia State University in 1997.
David was hired upon graduation as a computer software engineer for Sprint and loved his work with computer technology. He was an avid disc golfer and took great joy in beer making with his close friends.
He is survived by his parents; Melvin and Frances Wehmeier of Cheney, KS, his sister Deborah Wales (her husband, Mike) and two nieces, Jennifer and Kristin Wales of Memphis, TN and by his older brother Darrell (wife, Jeanette) Wehmeier of Topeka, KS.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made out to Bethany Church (Food Pantry @ 9101 Lamar Ave, Overland Park, KS 66207) or Hospice House (12000 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, MO 64145)
