David Michael Haith

May 29, 1942 — April 4, 2025

David Michael Haith, born on May 29, 1942, in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on April 4, 2025, in Olathe, Kansas while surrounded by his family. David was known for his magnetic, enthusiastic personality. He lived a life which was rich and full of remarkable experiences, marked not only by his accomplishments but also by the profound connections he forged with those around him. David was a force of nature and had a passion for many things; he truly epitomized what it is to be a "Renaissance Man".

Throughout his career, David's true talent was in forging trust and relationships. He was a corporate representative for Wohl Shoe, Brown Shoe, and Lowell Shoe Company. He then founded Haith Enterprises and later founded his water purification company, Krystal Klear Water Systems, growing it into a regional standard bearer in its industry and serving as the President until the time of his retirement. His leadership and commitment to quality, service and business principles reflected his strong work ethic and passion for making a positive impact on his clients and his community.

David was a student of life. While he studied medicine early in life and attended Santa Monica College, it became clear to David early on that his gift and passion was in connecting with people, forging relationships and building businesses through that process. Away from work, David enjoyed a variety of pastimes that showcased his zest for life. He was the family historian, spending countless hours researching the rich history and the journey of his ancestors and their families to the United States in the early 1900's, as well as those who were left behind. David was an epic storyteller. Even on his most challenging day, he would routinely go out of his way to make people laugh and smile. He cherished fishing and the outdoors, and he was a life-long devotee of fitness and nutrition. David also found joy in simple things like gardening, cooking, grilling and making meals for his family. David took great pleasure in spending time with his wife, his children and his five grandchildren, his greatest sources of joy and pride. Around the house, he enjoyed watching movies and documentaries with his wife, working out in his home gym and spoiling his cats.

David loved spending time at his lake house in Minnesota. His adventurous spirit led him to soar through the skies, earning his VFR and IFR pilot's licenses and owning and flying multiple airplanes. David was an avid motorist and motorcyclist, a love he passed on to all of his children. He owned many cars and motorcycles over the years and relished the thrill of a good ride and the wind in his hair. David was a true adventurer and there was rarely a challenge or a dare from which he would shy away.

David is survived by his loving wife, Cyndi, and four sons, Ben, Barry, Jason and Joel, his brother Marshall, and his grandchildren, Eli, Zach, David, Louis and Rose. His legacy will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of his family, who will remember him for his boundless enthusiasm, his incredible strength, his guidance, and his passionate support.

A graveside service honoring David's life will be held on April 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Olathe Memorial Cemetery, located at 738 North Chestnut Street, Olathe, KS 66061. Following the service, a Celebration of Life will take place at Tall Trellis Brew Co., located at 25600 W Valley Pkwy, Olathe, KS 66061, starting at 5:00 PM and continuing until 8:00 PM.
