David Clyde Speer, Jr., 40, Olathe, KS, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2010.
Dave was born March 31, 1970 in Kansas City, MO, and spent most of his life in Olathe, KS. Dave will be remembered for his big heart and his devotion to family and friends. His nieces and nephew seemed to gravitate toward Uncle Dave. He was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas Jayhawks, and could always be counted upon to fly a flag on game day. His legendary skills with a grill ensured he was always invited to the tailgate party, and his skill as a poker player ensured he was always invited to the game. Dave enjoyed fishing and riding his Sea-Doo, and once dove with sharks off the coast of Mexico.
Dave was survived by parents Dave and Dorothy Speer, brother Chad Speer, sister Sara Speer and Brian Coe, nephew Avery Burwell, and nieces Lillian Burwell and Emerson Coe.
