David Christopher Young

David Christopher Young, 34, of Olathe, died October 12, 2015 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

He was born October 10, 1981, the son of David Young and Laurie Otto, and graduated from Olathe East High School in 2000. David's most prized possession was his daughter, Briona, age 11. She was his pride and joy and David centered his life around his love for her.

He was known for his baby blue eyes, love of the color baby-blue and being a great father, son, brother, grandson and friend. His hobbies were working on cars, watching KU and Oakland Raiders football and cheering on the Royals. David was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to know.

David is survived by his parents David Young of Olathe and Laurie Otto of Kearney; stepmother Debbie Young; his brothers Brandon Young and T.J. Otto; and his sisters Melissa Day and Shannon Ackerman. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Fred and Jean Karn, of Kearney; his paternal grandparents, Jerry and Pat Young of Basehor, Kansas; and his maternal great grandmother, Clara Glad of Canton, Illinois. He is also survived by his daughter, Briona Young and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to David's daughter, Briona. Memorial donations may be given to the David Christopher Young Memorial Fund, in care of Enterprise Bank and Trust, 11970 S. Blackbob, Olathe, KS .
