David Richard Bowron, 63, of Olathe, passed away on December 12, 2022 at Olathe Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born on January 12, 1959 to Richard and Patricia Bowron in Aurora, IL.
Dave worked as a Salesrep in the promotional products industry for many years.
Dave's children were the absolute, light of his life. He was a dedicated father, coaching Nick's soccer, basketball and baseball teams and Maddie's softball team. He was a fixture at the kids school, volunteering to do whatever was needed. Dave enjoyed grilling and smoking just about anything on his faithful Weber grill. He loved sitting on the deck, listening to Jimmy Buffett and enjoying a cold Shandy.
Dave is survived by his children Madison Bowron and Nicholas Bowron, and his former wife and friend, Pamela Bowron. He is also survived by his parents, Richard and Patricia, sisters Kathy Davis and Beth Gebe and four nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army where Dave volunteered ringing the bell for many years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 22nd, from 4 to 8 pm, at the home. Grab your favorite Hawaiian shirt and join family and friends for some BBQ and Jimmy Buffett.
