David L. Anderson

David Leigh was born April 15, 1948 in Kansas City, MO to David and Mary Anderson. Dave graduated college from Central Technical Institute in 1969 and attended high school at Grandview High. He retired, due to a cancer diagnosis, after spending 35 years in a career he loved as an electronics technician and in electronics procurement.

He married the love of his life, Janet Anderson, in 2002. They spent 17 wonderful years having fun, after all it is the law.

Dave's family and friends know him to be kind, generous, courteous, social, curious, and stubborn. He enjoyed innovating and tinkering with electronics including the ham radio, which he learned from his father. He was an avid bowler and maintained close friendships with many of his teammates. Dave also loved the arts which he expressed through his photography and his joy of music, specifically Broadway musicals. He loved all sports and enthusiastically supported the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs, along with the college teams in Kansas and Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his father David, mother Mary Louise, and sister Marcia.

He is survived by his wife Janet Anderson and her children, Jennifer and Travis Quaintance, and Lisa and Russell Wilkins, and grandchildren Ellie, Maggie, and Will.
