David A. Volk

David A. Volk, 46, Olathe, Kansas, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Contributions may be made to the family for the purpose of an education fund for their son Josh, at a later date.

David was born September 30, 1961 in Colby, Kansas living in Olathe, Kansas the past 21 years. He was a 1979 graduate of Colby, Kansas and received an Associate's degree from Colby Community College. He married now loving and caring wife Denise in 1986 before moving to Kansas City where he received his M.I.C.T. instruction at Johnson County Community College. He then went to work for Johnson County Med-Act where he was a paramedic for 13 years and then transitioned into an information technology position as a network administrator at which he was currently serving while being ill the past year with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

He was a devout member of Church Alive for the past 21 years. He was a man of great faith to both his God and family. He was a devoted father being involved with his son's activities. He was a devoted and faithful husband. His devotion to public service over the past 21 years set a standard for all to follow.

He was preceded in death by his mother; Neva Volk.

He leaves his wife of 22 years; Denise, a son; Joshua, brothers; Leon and Martin Volk, and a sister; Lora Volk, his father; Alvin Volk.
