Dana Cooper, age 76, of Gardner/Olathe, KS, passed away on July 29, 2020.
Dana was born July 26, 1944 to William Michael (Dub) and Henrietta (Korky) Youngblood
in Alexandria, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her father Dub Youngblood, mother Korky Youngblood, and her younger brother Rob Youngblood.
Dana grew up in Prairie Village, Kansas. After graduating High school she attended Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. Dana earned a Bachelors degree in teaching and also minored in French. She taught 3rd grade at Black Bob School in Olathe Ks for over 30 years. She loved being a teacher and very much enjoyed the school and people she worked with. Dana loved to travel and among all the places she had been, her favorite was Egypt. Some of her biggest loves were fossils and archeology. She loved learning about all the discoveries and in retirement made numerous trips to dinosaurs museums with her granddaughter Megan. After retiring, she continued to volunteer at her school. She put in numerous volunteer hours reading and helping kids through district programs.
Mom had a huge personality, she was a go-getter and she inspired people. She was a mom, grandmother, friend and a teacher who was there for you when you needed her and she made a difference in people's lives. She showed up for life and made a difference.
Dana is survived by her two children Tim Cooper and Laura Brewer. Her son-in-law Darrell Brewer and daughter-in-law to be Christina White. Grandchildren Mark Brewer, Alex Brewer, Megan Brewer, Alyvia Kreitlow and Alaina Lopez. Dana is also survived by brothers Mike Youngblood and Keith Youngblood.

No funeral services are currently scheduled, a Celebration of Life service will be planned for a future date.
