Dana Conwell

Dana L Conwell, 44, of Overland Park, KS passed away to be in Heaven on Mon. Jan. 26, 2015. A memorial visitation will be from 4-7 pm Mon. Feb. 2nd, at Penwell- Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe Chapel where there will be a time of sharing at 6pm. Her ashes will be spread at the Lake of the Ozarks where she was married, at a future date. Her final resting place is in Heaven.

Dana was born June 19, 1970 in Mt Vernon, OH. Dana graduated Summa Cum Laude from ESU with her B. Ed. She obtained two Master's and 75 additional post graduate hours. She was a beloved teacher at Rhein Benninghoven, where she taught until her illness in 2004. After her departure she continued to miss her classroom and her students. She loved spending time with family and friends, traveling the world, educating, and reading.

She was preceded in death by her nephews Austin and Andrew Young.

She is survived by her husband Joel Conwell, her parents Les and Wanda Hassell, a brother James and her sister, Lisa Young; In-laws Gerald and Mary Conwell, 12 brother and sister-in-laws, 15 nieces and nephews, and 8 cousins.

The family requests donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or www.unleashedrescue.com, in her name, in lieu of flowers.
