Dale James Jackson, 84, Olathe, Kansas passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2006 in Olathe. The familly suggests contributions to the First Baptist Church of Olathe and/or the American Lung Assn.
Dale was born August 20, 1922 in Chanute, Kansas living in Olathe for 50 years. He was the son of Arthur H. & Alpha P. Jackson. He was a graduate of Chanute High School and Junior College. Dale was a transport pilot in the Army Air-Corps serving in the South Pacific during WWII. On May 22, 1946 he married Shirley A. Jackson (who preceded him in death in 1996) in Chanute, Kansas.
He spent his entire career with the C.A.A./F.A.A. as an air traffic controller, regional office specialist, retiring as Tower Chief at Johnson County Executive Airport in 1977.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Olathe, the Masonic lodge, and other professional organizations related to his career.
He is survived by two daughters; Jo Dee & husband Harry Rice and Julie & husband Doug Coleman, 4 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
